In last year's playoffs, there were 15 games won in the first round by 3 and 4 seeds. There were another 14 first round games that the higher seed won but the margin of victory was 2 TD's or less. In the 2 years of 6 class football, multiple #4 seeds have won games both years.

 

Is that a good thing, a bad thing, or just an observation?

In Ohio’s region 7 there are three 9-1 teams that did not make the playoffs. That is one region of 24. I would much rather have a few 0-10 or 1-9 teams play one playoff game and get smoked than be a 9-1 team and sitting at home watching the playoffs.

It's a good thing, heck it's THE thing. If it wasn't for the 3 and 4 seeds winning games I would think the six class thing would have had to go already. As long as there are 3 and 4 seeds winning games, I foresee six classes staying around.
