October 9, 200916 yr Your right you cant really change that. But I would guess there have been many great athletes in this state that could have been D1 players if they had the interest.
October 9, 200916 yr Why doesn't UK put more effort into the building up of our middle school and high school programs. Since there is an obvious disadvantage from our home recruiting base and a team like Florida's. Why not work on getting more kids interested in football and more developed in the game. Its nowhere near the same level but when Chuck Smith was the coach at Boyle all those years he played a huge role in rebuilding interest in the middle school programs and even in pee wee football. It sounds kind of silly but its the same thing just on a smaller scale. Why don't the high schools & middle schools do that? UK's football team has enough business to take care of.
