I finally look for a good game tonight, I think the match up might be close to even. I guess we will all find out together. Cooper's D has been working hard this week. The Cooper QB is very good, he just needs more time to throw the ball (Don't they all!)

Is the Boone vs Cooper game still on for tonight?

Unfortunately, Alford has been inconsistent even when Boone called the pass play. He can be a good throwing QB, but his talent has only been shown in his running ability since the Lafayete game. It's obvious that any QB, WR or TE that wants to excel in a passing scheme is at the wrong program if they attend Boone. Running backs will probably always be the dominant horse there.

For instance, Spaulding and Lokesak could been have two of the top receivers in NKY last year with a passing offense. Last year Alford finished with less than 500 yds passing, definately the lowest in the district, and this year it may be even less. He'll never get into a passing rhythm without gametime repetitions.

 

Agree that Boone wasted a great opportunity to open up their passing game last year with burners like Lokesak and Spaulding. As far as Alford's numbers, keep in mind he only played half the season due to injury.
