Ludlow really struggled with fumbles. Fatigue also set in quickly which is understandable after playing on Monday. Ludlow was down 12-6 with a little over 7 minutes left, then in an amazingly exciting change of events Ludlow won the game 19-12 in regulation.

Two very important games for Ludlow in a 5 day span, and they won both of them. I believe they only got to practice twice before this game, and yet still won. The better team usually always finds a way to win, and we seen it here in this case again. :thumb:

Josh Martin scored 2 TD's for the Panther's. Chris Yates was yet again impressive even though he did not have the big play on Friday. Drew Rice proves himself more and more as one of NKY's best every game. Coach Logan really has his defense looking good in Ludlow. Keep it up boys!

 

As far as Dayton. Their center had a rough game. Their QB (#8) impressed me, but it's hard for him to get a rythm when he is jumping or bending over for every snap. I didn't hear or see too much from Christian LeWallen. (sp?) Of course I saw Rice and Carlotta blocking him a lot. That can shut slow anyone down so no disrespect for him. Connor Lewis was impressive. He's pretty quick and has good insticts. Also saw him helping players up a few times. There is something to be said about a little bit of sportsmanship. Good job young man!

 

Anyone playing Dayton better run the ball with 2 hands because they do a great job swarming to the ball and trying to strip the football.

Maybe not the best game the Panthers have played, but a win nonetheless. This win gave them a playoff spot and that has to be rewarding for this program.

Ludlow is now set up to have a great shot at, at least getting the third seed again this year. Which will go a long way in hopefully doing something in the playoffs and getting another playoff win this year.:thumb:

They SHOULD get there. With Walton as the 4 seed IMO. The Panthers can't go into that Walton game looking for a push over though, they are better than people give them credit for. It's a tall task for the Panther's but if that D can hold tough and they contain Buckler and win next Friday against Bellevue we might be watching the first Ludlow home playoff game in longer than I can remember.

It definitely would be a tall task to beat Bellevue, because Bellevue has themselves a real good team this year. They are going to be able to play with Beechwood IMO. However I do think Ludlow will play much better against Bellevue than against Beechwood, and have a better chance against Bellevue. Its really a mental thing, because Bellevue doesn't have a mental edge against Ludlow like it seems like Beechwood does. Ludlow plays with the mindset that they obviously can beat Bellevue, since they have beat them 3 out of the last 6 years. Its different against Beechwood though, Ludlow just has to have the right mindset when they play Beechwood too just like anybody else.

Ludlow should beat Walton, but anything can happen. However just assuming that Ludlow does beat Walton. It will be interesting to see who gets that 4th seed, I think it will be either Walton or Brossart. I know I will be rooting for Walton to get that spot though!
