I don’t want to take any thing away from HC they came up to Newport and played a great game and came out with a win. HC has some very talented athletes. I feel like Newport played good enough that they should have won. Costly penalties by Newport and miss Q’s on offence that lead to turnovers cost them this game. Newport played solid on defense. HC was able to move the ball on the ground and wore down the Cats. Newports run game still needs some work. Calhoun is a hard nose runner and has good speed but was unable to get going against HC’s defense. Gross made a really nice catch down the field I think he is going to be one of the top receivers in NKY this year. Over all both teams went at it hard for 4 quarters and HC prevailed. Newport will learn from this and get better. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.

Harrison's offense didn't play well as stated by Coach Carroll. The defense did it's job by holding the Wildcats to a little more than 100 yards of offense.

I didn't see all the stats for this game yet. I did see Moss form HC had 102 yards and a TD on 23 carries.
