Lawrence North/Trinity Predictions

Featured Replies

I know virtually nothing about Lawrence North and since I wasn't present for the Moeller scrimmage I really can't even comment on the young Shamrocks at this point.

I am hoping for a Shamrock victory though.

Lawrence North competes in Class 5A in Indiana, which is the largest class. They lost their opener to Lawrence Central, 16-8. They finished last season at 5-5, 3-7 in 2007, and 5-6 in 2006. They've won three sectional championships (three wins, similar to winning a regional in Kentucky), but none since 1990.

With all of that being said, give me Trinity handily.

Here's a little write up on Lawrence North:

The defense is led by returning linebackers Vince Coach (107 tackles, eight sacks), Phil Schwenk (125 tackles, three sacks) and Max Vandermark (50 tackles, six sacks), and cornerbacks Will Nolden (5 five interceptions) and Kory Stamps, the team's most explosive athlete.

Dilley is comfortable with the team's ability to rebuild at the safety position, and the defensive line has plenty of experience.

Last year, Demory Lawshe converted from receiver to quarterback and accounted for 1,617 yards from scrimmage, 58.2 percent of the team's total. The offense will have a different look as no one will be asked to fulfill so many responsibilities. Jared Dickerson is expected to take over at quarterback, and he'll be able to call on Heeter -- the team's No. 2 rusher with 478 yards and six touchdowns and leading receiver at 306 yards and four scores.
