Game 1: Shelby Defeats Carroll in a close contest until the end. Shelby ended up winning the game by 8 or 10 points I believe but the game was much closer then that. I know Carroll was missing some kids and I assume Shelby was too (although I didn't know of any missing). Guard play will be strong for Shebly. They are very quick and will spread you out looking to drive and kick. Not much inside for either team on this night....

 

 

Game 2: Anderson defeats Carroll in a close game. Anderson would pull out ahead a few points, then Carroll would come right back. Anderson hit a 3 with about 1:30 to go to basically put the game away. Cann played well for AC with around 20 points. AC was missing 2 starters in this game as well.

 

 

Game 3: Bullet East Defeats Anderson. The game was close in the first half as Anderson was down by 3 at halftime. However Bullet blew the game open in the 2nd half and won by around 20 points. Looked as if Anderson (which had only 6 players) ran out of gas.

 

 

I didn't get to stay for game 4 although when I left Bullet was beating Shelby by around 10 points.

Anderson has a very talented Soph #44 (sorry I don't know her name) she can handle the ball and has quick feet in the lane. Anderson's team seemed young but I expect they had a few missing as well

 

Carroll should have a pretty good team this year. How well they work together will play a big part in their success. I was impressed with Carroll running their offense but they had trouble finishing shots. If they continue to buy into the team concept they will have a successful season.

#44 for AC is Sydney Brown. AC also started 3 8th graders (Cann, Mckee, Stewart) and One Freshman. AC's youngsters have played a ton of games together and look to be ready to compete at an early age. Once AC gets it's 2 upperclassman back in the lineup they should be even more competitive.

Some 8th Region action tonight as Shelby Battles AC, and South Oldham also plays AC. Summer ball is....well summer....but still fun to see 8th region foes go at it!

I agree.. We are playing at the Oldham Camp tonight but I am not sure who all will be there.

Is there any word on what happened Wednesday and Thursday nights?
