So, is North Laurel done?

So, is North Laurel done?

No, they just drop into the losers' bracket.

Oops! Didn't see the Garrard Co. thread. Looks like the Jags are done.

That's two of the favorites knocked out before it even gets dark on Day 1 in O'boro. Wow!

North really was in trouble before this tourney began. Taylor was pitching with cracked ribs and didn't have her best stuff by far. Several other injuries including 8th grade SS Herrell who may have to have surgery on her labrum, Sr catcher Akins with injuries to her back, elbow and knee, Sr CF Brock who has been injured for weeks, Soph 3b Cordero who was out with a broken hand, etc. I expect NL to compete at an even higher level next year with so much young talent coming back. They were playing 3 8th graders and a ton of frosh/sophs with only 2 seniors. They will be back even stronger next year.

Both North Hardin and Garrard proved that they belong with nice tourney runs well beyond what anyone predicted of them. North Hardin avenged an earlier loss to NL 5-0 on May 15th. Both Garrard and North Hardin had very solid clubs this year.
