Not a shocker really. Boyd pitched younger kids against Ashland both times this year, and Ashland pitched their best against Boyd both times. With that in mind, I would say it was expected. I know quite a few Ashland fans that felt they would be defeated.

Boyd Co. good team year in and year out, but I didn't expect a mercy though.

Congratulations Boyd on the win. Ashland had a great year-it just ended sooner that should have and was very disappointing, especially to our group of seniors. And, I'm not sure what Ashland fans expected to lose, because the fans I spoke with had the utmost confidence in their ability to play. It just wasn't their night. The seniors will be missed and we wish them the best.

I understand what you are saying, as well if any of the fans watched the first two games between Ashland and Boyd, then they would have to know that Boyd had a great chance of beating Ashland. Especially if they keep up with kids talents and know that Boyd had a couple of pitchers that Ashland had not even faced all year. Ashland did however have a great season, they have some great kids. I think Duvall could prosper at the next level. Has he gotten any offers?

Boyd had a new head coach some young kids, but they play a tough schedule year in an year out and that really shows come tournament time.
