mooremiller31 Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Huntman where are you at, Im sure you will have the scoop on this one.
sportanalyst$ Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Suprise in the 41st District. I figured Hills and Franklin County would meet up in the championship. Hats off to Woodford County for keeping their season alive. Congrats to Hills on a great regular season.
Hilltopper2005 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Wow, this is a surprise! Western Hills had a tremendous regular season, but the real season has started now.
kysoonerfan Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I bet I am not the only one not surprised by this outcome. I am sure several in the city of Frankfort, as well as the 11th saw this coming all season long!!!!
Hard Court Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The freshman pitcher for WC was pretty impressive, had several pitches, one that looked like a sinker and had it working a little. I was very surprised by the outcome, Hills has had an emotional week as they were rallying around one of their players I would think. Had a real season.
Central KY Baseball Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I bet I am not the only one not surprised by this outcome. I am sure several in the city of Frankfort, as well as the 11th saw this coming all season long!!!! I'd have to say you are probably the only one not surprised by this. This is definitely one of the biggest first round upsets, if not the biggest, this year. I would say the 11th region winners can rest a little easier now that they get to play Woodford County (assuming they lose to #9 Franklin County) or Model (assuming they lose to #21 Madison Central) this year. Taking Western Hills out of the picture definitely opens things up for some of the other schools. This is what postseason baseball is all about though!

The Engineer Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Did something happen to one of their players? There was a death in the family of one of the players. I will leave it at that as to not open up a discussion of families not involved in posting here.

kybaseball14 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Very surprising. This shocked me tremendously. Jt Rittle (Uk Prospect) looked very well but when the woodford players made contact, they hit him hard. Omohundro, The 3rd basemen had a really good game, getting a couple hits against rittle and so did the second basemen curtis with one. They were scrappy and it paid off.

Nope, I checked into it yesterday just to make sure and just as I thought I wasn't the only one in Frankfort not surprised!
