gametime Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Congrats to Vinny Zollo and his Indy Elite team for winning the 16u division today. Tons of talent at the event this weekend, and this is a very nice win for them...
gametime Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Also the KY Shining Stars team made the final 4 in the top 17u bracket. Congrats there as well...
gametime Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 How did ol' Vinny look? He looked very good. He's never going to be the most athletic kid on the floor, but he works his tail off and in the tournament round took minutes away from some very athletic big guys on the roster because he was flat out getting the job done...

For a sophomore I liked his post game. Was Ferguson playing in this one?
gametime Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Just a small sample of the talent at the event... 2010 Josh Smith Jared Sullinger DeShaun Thomas Adriean Payne Jereme Richmond Kendall Marshall Andre Dawkins Juwan Staten 2011 Marquis Teague Tony Wroten Mike Shaw If you've never been to the Spiece Fieldhouse for this event in Ft Wayne I highly recommend it. Very well ran, and held in large part in an amazing facility...
gametime Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Was Ferguson playing in this one? Nope. He took the weekend off...

Many people see the first part, but fail to see the second part. Vinny has so much heart and desire....that you can't teach. Thanks for the update, I hope to attend the AAU tourney in Cincy in July.
