Newpaper said North threw a freshman pitcher, that might answer your question on how that happen. I'm sure North would not throw anyone at Whitley in case they meet them in the region.

Interesting how Lincoln County smoked Whitley County 8-1, yet North Laurel beat Lincoln County. It happens. Just because you beat a team, it doesn't mean you're going to beat a team who lost to the team you beat.

A very young team at NL. Coach McWhorter has commented that he has a very difficult time making out his lineup everyday as with all the youth, he never knows what he is going to get from many players from one game to the next. This is the same NL team that tied Lex Cath 6-6 just a few weeks ago.

After reading the local paper NL had a chance to win, however, two errors late cost them the game.
