2009 Monroe County

Featured Replies

What does Monroe County need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Heart!!! If Coach P can get the OL and DL to reach deep and find the heart of a true football player like the seniors last year they will be very competetive again this year. All other positions the heart is there, but only a few lineman have that true grid-iron attitude that it takes to be very successful...:ylsuper:

Monroe will be young across the line. Agree with previous post if OL can come thru Falcons will be a good team again also Arnett at QB will need to be able to throw the ball to keep the O balanced but think Monroe will be a player for the region.

Monroe Co. should have another good year in 09. Like TSY7 and SG said the Falcons success will hinge on how well the OL/DL play, they certainly have the potential to do great things and have worked very hard in the off-season to build strength and quickness.

Another position that will be critical for the Falcons will be QB which will feature (Jr.)Jackson Arnett in his first season at the helm, no doubt he has the athletic talent to play the position the question is can he be the leader he needs to be? I think so…

My personal opinion is the Falcons have a good shot to win the region again if a few breaks go their way, this is a good group of kids that has grown accustomed to winning and appears to be primed for a good run in 09. On a side note I was a little disappointed when the schedule came out and once again no Tennessee teams where scheduled, there’s a great natural rivalry in place being a border county to TN and it’s something the fans would really get excited about. I’m not sure what the problem is in making it happen, but I’m quite sure it’s not Coach Petett which brings up the question what more does he have to do to have complete reins of the Falcons program? I would say he’s already earned it…

The season to begin!!! I have been watching the practices and I truly feel that all that Monroe needs to have another successful year is for the season to begin....WATCH OUT 2A!!!!!! Here comes the Falcons to a stadium near you!:dancingpa

I wish Monroe County Falcons the best of luck this year, at least all the way up to the semi-final. I would then have to cheer for the FC Falcons. Your program is a class act and our trip to Tompkinsville last year was awesome.

I hope you bury Green County in the regular season, playoffs, back-yard games, alley fights etc...!!!

Go Falcons!! (Fort Campbell & Monroe)

We appreciate the vote of confidence. Only one problem with buring Green in all sports is that after last season beating them from Varsity to little league,( monroe co. grey team beat green co. in little league championships at metcalfe co), they won't play us in little league this year. So if the chance arises to compete again I will let you know.

Go Falcons:laugh:

Monroe co. has blue/white scrimmage friday night at 5:00 with meet the team to follow...hope to see all Falcon fans there!:ylsuper:

We are looking forward to the trip to O'Cath this season! It took FC a few years to finally get past the Aces in the playoffs so we never under estimate them.

I know Coach Edge didn't enjoy the bus ride back to Owensboro either of the two times O'Cath visited FC last season.

Thanks for the support!
