Enough Ledington/Smith debate........Being a Whitley fan I will say I support coach Ledington and am happy to have him in our dugout.

To the Game........

With all the rain, did Whitley have their field tarped and will field conditoins play a part in the game. Will Whitley continue to exploit the weakness mentioned earlier by VolFan? The big question is who will pitch for the 'Burg? And just how good is the Whitley concession stand, as I will be eating dinner at the game tonight!!!!!

Not sure about the field being tarped, Yes, Whitley will go after the Burgs weak spots, and like you, Who will pitch for the Burg. Oh and you can expect some good eating at the concession stand. Its always Good!

Does Williamsburg not have a game on Thursday in the All-A tournament and if so, what will they do for pitching?

Williamsburg plays Middlesboro Thursday in the All-A, I would guess that they will have to save their pitching for that game. Tough spot for the Jackets who don't have the luxury of a lot of depth on the mound.

I expect Williamsburg may have to throw Johnny Wholestaff at Whitley (lol). I would guess Perkins would possibly start then who knows from there. I expect Barton will pitch Thursday's game in the All A.

At this point you would have to think that Williamsburg has to make a decision as to whether they want to compete in the "All A" or in the 50th. Normally they would not be in this position but with the rainout, it definately puts them behind the 8 Ball.

Seems like it is that way for every team competing in the All "A".

Where was Ledington during this game? Heard through the grapevine that he got in some trouble down in Florida. As Vince Vaughn would say, "class class class".

Coach Leddington is one of the best coaches in the 13th. He was a huge factor in the success that Corbin had in the years he was there. I have only seen the Colonels once but they looked very solid. I expect that they will get progessively better as the year goes along. Wlliamsburg is struggling and Whitley took advantage of their weaknesses. They are not being very productive offensively and their pitchers must learn to hold runners.
