The CovCath vs. Cincinnati Archbishop McNicholas game was called in the bottom of the second inning with CovCath leading by a score of 3-0. CovCath had a runner on second with one out and a 1-2 count to Siemer when the thunder and lighting was seen and heard and then soon followed by heavy rain.

Nutini was breezing through the Cincinnati Archbishop McNicholas lineup in his two innings, by throwing a total of only 22 pitches (11 each inning) striking out 2, walking no one and getting the McNicholas batters to hit into two 6-3 and two 5-3 infield outs.

Really too bad that the rains came as Nute was indeed crusing and was on his way to his third victory.

Not sure if the Cin McNicholas game will be rescheduled for a later date.

CovCath next plays Conner on Tuesday at 5pm @ Conner, but with the amount of rain that we just witnessed and the forecast for more tonight and Tuesday, not so sure this game will be played.....

Conner has a field tarp do they not?

McNick didn't have a very good first inning and add in a missed call by the field up on the pick off at first and CCH probably/maybe gets one run in the first inning.

You are correct, but where does the rain that we had that landed in the outfield go?

I live not more than two miles from Conner and I am telling you it dumped out here. Now maybe they will play, but the outfield could be a lake, with the amount of rain they are calling for tonight and tomorrow.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then occasional showers after 11pm. Low around 46. Southeast wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Occasional showers, mainly before 11am. High near 53. Light wind becoming west between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

They are calling for another inch to a inch and a quarter more of rain, to a ground that is simply saturated with moisture.

Clyde, the men in blue never miss a call, you should know that!:thumb:

Yes he blew the call, but in the many games I have seen Kentucky teams travel north across the river to play, I have sees them get the short end of the stick on calls up there. It tends to even out.....

I count 4 rbi's. Since the game was called, do any stats even count?

No the stats don't count and Maile didn't have the one rbi, that I mistakenly posted.
