Tradition? What does that have to do with it? If they were a team that has not had a winning record in 20 years, my opinion would be the same.

Every team and every player should be ready to play day in day out, period. Saying they could have been more focused and better prepared would be acceptable, not calling them embarrassing!

 

Your last sentence is correct, but that is done by the coach in the locker room. Where what is said in the locker room stays in the locker room. Not on anonymous message boards about teenagers.

 

Whether you like it or not, baseball players at CovCath, along with football players at Highlands and Beechwood, are held to a higher standard than kids at other schools. There's a standard (tradition) that is to be upheld every year. I really don't think TOG crossed the line with his embarassing statement, since he was referring the mental state on the field and not their physical ability.

It does not sound like anyone is bitter towards Krumps. It sounds like, and I'm pretty sure it is, people understanding the standards that Cov Cath baseball has and should be accountable for.

 

And every team wants to beat their next opponent whether that is Cov Cath or not doesn't matter.

Then the Alums should hold themselves to the same "higher standard" and be more constructive in their criticisms of kids.
