DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 UNC all over Oklahoma right now, 28-16 with 5:50 left in the first half. Oklahoma is 0/7 from three, and having all kinds of trouble even getting shots off before the clock expires. Oklahoma has 6 field goals, and seven turnovers.
ScarHeel Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Let's Go Heels! I have a 3 hour drive to Jeffersonville tonight so if they can blow the Sooners out by halftime, I'll be happy.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 So far free throws are the bane of OU's existence as well as the three point shooting. UNC is all over Griffin, and just generally looks dominant at this point.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 Griffin finally gets a clean look and knocks one down. He already has 9 rebounds.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 32-20 UNC, 1:14 left in the first half. Green has 14 points.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 OU is 7/11 from the free throw line, has hit 8 field goals, and have 9 turnovers. #1 sign you're losing the game? You have more turnovers than made shots....
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 Despite the shortcomings, it's only 32-23 UNC at halftime, but the Tar Heels were in complete control in the first half.
Pancake Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Not the style of play the Heels would like, but they're winning. Is it me, or has UNC played some sound defense this half??? :bunny:
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 It's not you at all. They shut down Griffin, and played very well.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 OU playing even with UNC now, but that's not going to get it done.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 Griffin has scored 19 of OU's last 25 points. 45-35 UNC, 15:09 left.
ScarHeel Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Griffin's getting his as expected but he's not getting much help.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 OU is getting nothing from beyond the three point arc. 0/11? Bad.
DragonFire Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 One thing you notice in this game is that OU simply can't stop UNC's offense, and when they do, they turn it over like they just did.
