Featured Replies

It was announced today at Russell High School that Ron Reed has resigned as the Lady Devils coach. No names have been mentioned as his replacement.

Some of the parents have said they wanted Phil Cassidy to take the job but he has been reluctant to commit. They claimed he should have had the job last year and that may be the reason he has declined so far. This was Reeds first girls basketball job and he learned they do not respond to the same methods he has used with the boys programs.

Is'nt he a parent?

Ron has a brillant basketball mind. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for him and the girls at Russell.

I talked to him at the State Tourney and knew he was stepping down. Ron is a great guy and coach. Only wish the best for him in the future.

Just to throw some names out: Anna Chaffin, Phil Cassity, Keith Roark, Joe Bryan, Bill Renzi, Eric Keeton.
