FS advances to the 4th region champioinship game against Bowling Green.

Russell County didn't shoot nearly as well in this one, and I think only hit 7 shots in the second half after shooting 73% from the field in the second half Saturday.

 

Yeah, I'm bitter.

I'm sure Franklin defended well. But open shots are open shots. Russell County was 6/21 from three in this one, 5 of 7 on Saturday.

I thought Russell dominated the first half and then just fell completely apart. The Lakers should be playing in the finals. Central is very predictable and Russell have a long time to prepare. They had a great game plan agaist the Dragons and followed it to perfection. I thought the Lakers had a couple of players get really frusturated tonight.

I'm very disappointed in Russell County. I meant what I said about pulling for them. If you can't win it, say you were beaten by the team that did. Instead, it's possible that a team Central beat by 51 will win the region.

 

I was stunned at how quick Franklin came back on them. And really, it was the story of the night. Both Bowling Green and Russell County blew huge leads, but Russellville took longer to come back, and ultimately didn't have enough to get all the way over.

 

BTW, I don't remember hearing, who got the tech for Russell County?

Number 24 got the techinical but they switched it to an Intentional instead.

You've gotta love the 4th region. I sat with some buddies I made from Bowling Green, cheering on Franklin-Simpson tonight. And I'm from Glasgow.

 

Two excellent games tonight! I don't know how all the other tournaments have went... But as far as exciting goes... This years 4th region tournament has to be in the top 3.
