Corbin 56 North Laurel 51

I agree, the officiating was horrible, really bad. Did anyone notice that one official made at least 75% of the calls, regardless where they occurred on the floor? IMO Corbin was about to lose this game, and Coach P backed the ball out and regrouped. I think this move saved Corbin from the upset.

I thought 14th region officials were calling the 12th Region?

They are, 15th and 13th switched.

Either way, if these are 15th region officials, I feel bad for the 15th. These guys have been pretty bad. Like it has been said, not one sided, just bad.

Yes you summed it up Mountain Thunder. The refs haven't been dirty or one sided in the least bit. They have just been bad period. One quarter Corbin would get 9 fouls, the next North, Corbin, North. It was like a pattern. One group of officials will let you get away with Murder. They do not know over the backs or hand checks. The next group will call everything. It's truly like night and day.

I believe that everybody will be glad to see the 13th region officials next season. The 15th doesn't have much to choose from.

The three calling this game appeared at times to disinterested in the game and then they would call ticky tack fouls while on the other end of the floor muggings were going on. It was both was, no team really got any advantage from the bad calls. All four teams in the finals were good and they deserved better officiating.

To the game:

I thought Corbin played with one eye on the Championship game. I am sure it was hard not to look ahead, but to North's credit they played hard and never let up, Coach Conway had a great game play but his players rushed shots when Corbin went to the press, had they not been so aggressive going to the bucket in the second quarter and been more patient it could have changed the flow of the game. Corbin made a great call to pull it out in the 4th with about 4 minutes to go, it made North play their game and allowed them to go on for the win.

Congrats to North on a fine season and a good run in the tourny

Good to the Redhounds as they move on to the Championship.
