Great Article About Trinity

Featured Replies

Kentucky is known for its horse racing, and no race is bigger than the Kentucky Derby, held each May in Louisville. However, during the football months, it is a Thoroughbred of a different kind that has the citizens of Louisville talking.

Head coach Bob Beatty and his Trinity Shamrocks year in and year out are contenders for the Kentucky 6A state title and national prominence, and this past season was no different for the Shamrocks, who defeated Simon Kenton, 48-0, to claim the championship this season. Quarterback Cameron Smyth was a perfect 12-of-12 for 232 yards and four total touchdowns, while running back Tim Phillips rushed for 131 yards and also had four total touchdowns. The championship was the fourth in a row for Trinity and the school's 19th overall.

A Different Kind of School

"Football is important, but everything is important. We have football players that sing in the choir. When you sign on here, excellence is expected in everything from football to the lunch line to your uniform. That, to me, is what sets Trinity apart," Beatty said.

Great article, and I particularly agree with what Coach Beatty says above!:thumb:
