I would say Coach Jones told those kids who they needed to foul and who they did not. I would say Coach Jones has watched Bell Co. play several times this season. Good win for that young program.

 

Good theroy but I would not give that credit. Robbins shot FT's well during the season for Bell Co. Once he got fouled inside the other on the floor, in which Jones yelled at the player for fouling by saying "why." But anyway it worked out for him. :thumb:

I'm sure it was a tough pill to swallow for Bell County with the region being on their home floor. Coach Morris does a great job and I hate to see them out of the tournament. I’m not sure that a lot of his kids recovered from the wear and tear of the football season. Zachery is an outstanding athlete and hopefully will have a good finish to his senior year in baseball.

 

Coach Jones continues to prove himself as one of the better coaches in the state. I wasn’t sure that Harlan County would make it after losing their last three games of the regular season, but they proved otherwise. They should be proud of this accomplishment in their first year as a new school. They will give Middlesboro all they want in the finals. It should be good match up.

Good win for Harlan Co. Very simply put you can't not miss Free Throws and win in the Tourney time. 1 Bell player missed 4 in a row at the end of the game. Harlan Co. hit their FT's and won the game.

 

Jones is a very good coach but from watching their young kids I don't see them being a 13th region power anytime soon. They will compete but not be a power.

 

 

 

They had one of the best freshmen groups in the region and a very good bunch of eighth-graders. Rosspoint is the best eighth-grade team in Harlan County and they played South and Knox within four or five points, and that's only one team out of eight.

 

Their JV was mostly freshmen and was very solid.

 

They may not be a power, but they could be very good and should be one of the top teams in the region for a number of years.
