Hatton has had more varsity points than McClendon (Holmes) this year. Is that relevant??

 

No.

 

I guess I should make myself clear on Hatton because I don't want any of his supporters to think I'm bashing him. Its very impressive that a 7th/8th grade aged kid is playing varsity basketball. Extremely impressive. Most kids are not physically mature enough to handle it. He is. He's in the vast minority in that regard.

 

Can he get better? Will his shot get better and more mature? I assume so .

 

IMO we should temper our hype about this young man (and many others) and simply see how they develop and see how other kids develop.
