As far as the JV's go, Anderson has started 3 middle school kids all year on JV (Cann 7th, Mckee 7th, and Robinson 6th) and the JV team is 15-1. Pretty impressive IMO. And Mckee DNP against the south JV, showing just how deep the AC middle school talent is. Actually McKee didn't even lead the middle school team in scoring this past year, although she has handled the transition to high school a little bit better then Cann (who most would tell you was the best player on their middle school team).

 

It is strange seeing so many middle school kids playing JV for a large school, however that is just the situation AC has been put in. They have had a lot of kids quit (most preseason) from previous years and they really just don't have a lot of talent in the 9th-11th grades this season. Anderson has 1 junior, 1 sophmore and 1 freshman in the entire program right now. Yikes. It's a good thing the middle school kids are so talented.....you may see AC start as many as three of them next season!

I think Yeaste is a pretty big loss... the others provided depth to a team that Kays thought would make them a very deep team this year...

 

You're right about the Anderson JVs...impressive lot. McKee being out didn't seem to hurt the JVs...although her absence certainly hurt the AC varsity.

 

You have to think these two schools will be two of the region 8 powers over the next few years. They may neither one win a title, but they will be definite contenders each season for the next 2-4 years.

 

 

Anderson will probably be too young to compete next season. They will most likely have two 8th graders starting, with middle schoolers and freshman as key reserves, but Anderson may have on of the best 8th grade classes in the state of Kentucky, much less the 8th region.

Maybe not next year, but I'd think AC will catch up quickly. 2010-2011 will probably be the start of 2-3 banner years for the Lady Bearcats...

She hasn't played yet, but she is back with the team. I assume she will play during district/region.
