Garrard County 54 Boyle County 33

Featured Replies

This game was never in doubt. Garrard ran out to a 15-0 lead and pushed it to 39-13 at halftime. It was 45-22 after three quarters and it settled at 21 points for the rest of the night.

Garrard was able to sit quite a few of its starters for a good part of the second half. That would good as it allowed some young kids a chance to play and the older guys to get some rest. Garrard goes to Lincoln for a game that will effectively decide the #1 seed in the tournament, and then follows with a trip to Rockcastle on Tuesday night.

I don't have a scoring recap tonight, but it was very balanced. I'm guessing Tyler Woods led Garrard, but I can't confirm. I was told afterwards by a media personality that Boyle shot 25% for the game while Garrard shot 48%.

Boyle absolutely looked disinterested this evening. To be honest, it looked like they had quit. You never count the Rebels out, but they were out of it tonight. Winning at their place in the district tournament will be tough, but not if they don't improve their play.

Good bounce-back win for Garrard tonight after a tough home loss to Danville on Thursday. The Lions improve to 17-4. Hopefully they can get #18 in Stanford on Monday night!

I hope we can pull to together for tonight's game against the Ads. You and I both know that we are capable of playing better than we did last night. I wish we could have gotten a game in before we played you guys. First game in 2 weeks rust was evident.

Nice win for GC, :thumb:

That same thing was apparent in the Garrard/Danville game on Thursday night. Two weeks off is difficult. I agree that Boyle can play much better than they did last night. They just looked completely disinterested.
