That's a big step in the right direction for the Bruins. I like their new coach. He seems to want to build his program the right way and is not affraid to acknowledge the hard work X & T put into their offseason conditioning is a big reason they succeed in the Fall. They have all of the resources to challenge in the future.
THEGREENDANDY Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 In three years will join the big 3.
boblovesball Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 In three years will join the big 3. I guess your talking about X, T and Central.:dancingpa

Understand he is really concerned about his kids both in school and after. Think he may want to emulate X & T - a good thing. Wish him well.:thumb:

boblovesball Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Like Beatty??? ? How do you put Male in the top 3. Wait, thats right Central did beat Male and win another, let me repeat, another STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. Top 3 X,T and Central:dancingpa

Male football program over the last 4 decades has been much stonger than Central. Central is a good 3A team.

But way too premature to put them in the "elite category." They have a good start - but as well all know - the key is consistency as well as longevity.

They don't have that tradition or when was their run. They've been good in the past, but not over powering.

Perhaps the point may be -- they appear to be in the best position to "work - build - attempt to achieve" that status. True, they are some distance off. But perhaps they might be the 'up and comer's " to watch.

They swept Ballard on all three levels and currently have over 700 applications for incoming 9th graders. I will also mention that they have one of the best football players in the state. Good Luck to Ballard, but IMO they don't rate in the top two in their district.
