Final.

Good game and win for the young Rebels. Garrard County led 28-22 at halftime. The young Rebels scored 24 points in the 3rd quarter thanks to their intense full court pressure defense that was absent in the first half. Micah Satterly led the young Rebels with 21 points, Kyle Rice had 14, Zach Hester(playing at his dad's alma mater) had 10, Michael Arnett had 9 and Cody Cooper(good game Coop!!!!!) had 8. The 3rd quarter was the best basketball we have played all year and I think the best is yet to come this year as we are only into game 6 on our schedule and currently have a 5-1 record. Congrats young Rebels!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garrard has decent freshman team. They knocked off East Jessamine on Friday night before falling to Boyle last night. Next year will be difficult for the Garrard County program, but when these freshmen are juniors it could be another good year.

Some of the Boyle Freshmen team at breakfast at my place the day of the game...Those young men were all perfect Gentlemen...I'm glad to see they got the Win...:thumb:

Yeah, those are a great group of boys and I am not just saying that because my son is one of them. It has been a great thing watching the entire team grow from Woodlawn to BCHS.

The 3rd quarter was definitely the best they played all year. Hats off to Micah Satterly. His around game has really improved this year.

In fact, I've watch him improve each of the last ten years. Ever since he started playing with a lot of the Perryville boys back in '99 even though he went to Woodlawn Elem. I knew when he played at the KSD gym that he would become a very good player. If he continues to play like he's been playing, this team is going to be really good.

Another thing I think is necessary for this team to be very successful is for Zak Hester to play like he did during the Garrard game. It seems like everytime he plays aggresive and scores, the rest of the team plays better. They seem to feed off of him even though he doesn't have to score a lot of points. We seen this alot last year.

On to E. Jess and Mercer. :ylsuper:

Danville. That was the first time that group of boys at Danville had ever beaten this group of boys at Boyle County. Rematch is Saturday at 10am at Boyle County.

Does anyone know what Danville's Freshman Record is?

And Lincoln's? I know Lincoln won the Salt River Conference last year as 8th graders and they went to the sweet 16 in the KBA state tournament.

The only thing I know about Lincoln is that they beat Danville last Saturday. We play them Feb. 2. They beat us in the championship game last year in the Salt River Conference, we beat them in the 7th grade for the Salt River Championship. The rivalry resumes Monday Feb. 2.

Yeah, but didn't Lincoln Beat Boyle 2 times in the regular season last year and in the Salt River Conference Finals?

Yes, they beat Boyle 2 other times, however Boyle beat them in a tournament at Boyle Co in November and beat them at the Mercer Co.

tournament during Christmas break. All five games were very close, as well as the 7th grade championship the year before.
