I would say yes. Russell has struggled but seems to be turning the corner of late. Not to mention, I'd guess the Elliott folks are also upset.

I think it was a figure of speech. Just guessing.

 

Any stats? I obviously made a big mistake, my wife and I decided to go watch the 7th/8th grade game instead of going to the girls. :irked:

Russell Ladies seem to be turning the corner, congrats!

Just talked to a friend that was at the game. He said the Russell girls have some solid talent and they are in fact "turning the corner".They beat a very physical and scrapy Elliott team despite a high number of turnovers. They had several girls make some big shots including a 3 by a freshman with 45 seconds on the clock and a pair of freebies by Parsley to put it away. They are definately improving.

A great team effort! The Lady Devils had more than just one or two step up tonight!

This was one of the best games I have seen this year. Very physical, very fast paced. The Ferguson girls for EC had close to 50 of their teams 62 points. Russell's scoring was a little more balanced with Simpson leading the way I believe with around 15. Parsley ended up with about 12. Fortman knocked down I believe 3 threes and Cassidy had a couple as well. Jenny Ferguson came off the bench for 6 points or so. Brianna Gullett also had some big baskets.

 

Fun game to watch.
