Final from Louisville tonight.

Does anyone have any details on this one?

Tight calls by the refs got NCC in foul trouble early, Matt Giesler and Grant Pangallo sat out the entire second quarter so the Breds only scored 10 pts.by half. Breds played a very good 3rd quarter and tied the game, but the Seward kid was just too good. 6'4" very athletic, best player NCC has played against all year. Probably best team they've played also.

Only 4 Breds hit scorebook wow.

Got a chance to go to this game. NCC was very patient in their offensive sets running Connor through multiple screens to free him up for the 3 or trying to get Giesler posted up. Trinity did a good job of minimizing Connor's looks by alternating guarding him with Sewell and #1 and they kept him from getting too many clean looks at the 3. Pangallo did a good job of breaking his defender down and getting into the paint to distribute but, as the previous poster stated, Trinity was just too athletic and picked up the pace and shooting in the 4th quarter.

Neither team pressed at all and I would have been interested to see how NCC would have handled pressure?

Box Score:

NewCath (5-5) - Pangallo 3 1 9, J. Giesler 5 3 13, Connor 3 0 9, M. Giesler 3 0 7. Totals: 14 4 38.

Trinity (12-1) - Corbett 0 1 1, Epley 5 1 12, Harrison 4 3 13, Sewell 6 4 16, Little 3 1 7, Cupper 1 0 2. Totals: 19 10 51.

Newcath 7 3 19 9- 38

Trinity 12 8 9 22-51

3-pointers: N 6 (Pangallo 2, Connor 3, M. Giesler); LT 3 (Epley, Harrison 2).

Judging from the box score, it looks like a bad 4th quarter was the downfall for the Breds. Congrats to T on the win.

NCC needs to find more consistent scoring. They can't rely on only 4 guys to score night in and night out and expect to win.
