Knox Central 55 Clay Co. 52

Featured Replies

Panthers shot 1-for-15 during a 10-minute stretch and overcame having Josh Brown, Chad Messer and Cody Miller on the bench for a lot of the game. Miller only had two points at the half, but finished with 18 points.

Right now, it's a four-team race in the 13th Region between Corbin, Central, South and Clay. Teams like Middlesboro and Bell can be threats along with Whitley and Harlan County.

Knox Central is on a roll right now.

Where was the game played? If it was Manchester I'm even more impressed!!

It was played at Central, but they (the Panthers) sure did have to overcome a lot.

Both teams had to overcome a lot, a lot of turnovers and a lot of bad shots. As soon Clay decides to "cherish" every possession they will be a threat to win the 13th.

I could be wrong about this, but I just can't see Clay County winning the region this year. They've got some shooters, but the lack of size is going to kill them. At first I thought they could win the region during the pre-season, but I'm not sure now. Plus, they're not too deep either. They are in one of top four or five teams.

But like I said, I could be wrong.

Looks like Knox is going to be a big player inthe 13th this year.

Congrats KC, nice start to the season
