Aaron Charles scored 26 as Lee pulled away at the end.

Lee Co. dominated the boards. Lee County would build an 8-10 point lead, followed by an Engineer run to bring the game within 2, then repeat. Pittman has athleticism he may make a player in his next two years, and as always Charles is a great guard.

Did Cackling for Estill play?

34 free throws by Lee 16 by Estill - Pelphrey is much improved Charles made 16 free throws for his 26. Both teams played hard and will see each other in Estill and in the districts - Estill Guys - I love you - you are playing your hearts out. It will come together I promise

Did Cackling for Estill play?

He had 19 despite the death of his grandfather Sat. night

Yeah I heard that. That is why I was wondering if he played.

I know....and he and his grandfather were very close. Sympathies and prayers go out to Tristan and his family.

How many starters are returning for these teams from last year?

Estill lost Blake Christopher and Josh Napier and returns Cackling, Hoover, Wiseman and Roberts. I think that Napier started sometimes and Roberts started sometimes. IMO, the loss of the versatile Christopher weakens them considerably, especially in the paint. It was hard to 'zone' Estill last season with Hoover, Cackling, Christopher and Napier looking for the three every possession.

Lee lost point guard Josh Drake and defensive specialist Shane Taulbee. Returning are Charles, Pelfrey and Campbell. Gus Wise had a few starts last season but was normally the 6th man. Added are transfers Pittman and Reece, who are both playing very good.

Lee has got to find some guard play to relieve Charles. He is to athletic not to get more shots. Also by freeing him up I think it will free up pelfrey who has improved a great deal. Charles had to make every shot he got off the ball. That will get old and easy to defend over time. Lee is very talented 1 thru 6. Estill just plays hard and that will serve them well. You could tell estill was a little rusty with their football players only being back a week or so.
