Perry Central/Hazard canceled

Featured Replies

Without seeding in that district does it really matter? I would have like to seen the game but the only 2 games that matter is when they play in the district tourney and again in the regional finals.

Why would Perry County want to play Hazard right now without a full team? If they won everyone would be calling it a hollow victory. Wait until the Hazard team has their full team back and then beat them.

Hazard did have to forfeit though, right?

Talk with Coach Hatcher and he said that HHS forfeit the game and pd. the $5,000 to get out of the contract and was no mention of a makeup game. I'm sure of this.

There is know team going to sign a contract for 3,000 to 5,000 like DoneDirty said on a post on here. Also what amout is it 3,000 or 5,000?

I know for sure that it costed Hazard $5,000. Two years ago at Breathitt Co. it cost them $2.500 to get out of a game. I think the least amount these days to get out of a game is $1,500. That is a fact lonewolf!

:thumb: Cowardly move on Hazards part. I'm not saying Perry beating Hazard without there entire roster proves anything. However, if you have five players to put out there than you should play. Imo you could give coach Hatcher five random players off the street and he would play you.

That is a fact, Coach Hatcher would have played them if the shoe was on the foot.:thumb:

I have went back over all your post DoneDirty and you have not got a fact right yet.:thumb:That is a fact DoneDirty.

I saw on the KHSAA scoreboard that Perry was credited with a win 2-0. I thought if you paid the fee on the contract that the game did not count on won-loss records. Why would you pay the fee if it still counts as a loss?

Most programs sign contracts, which the KHSAA provides. If they did indeed have a contract in place, then any amount provided from one school to the other, is for compensation of lost revenue, as a result of the game not being played.
