Was told that Scott would be playing without their starting PG who is out with an injury. Not a bad win without one of your starters on the road.

:thumb: Scott has a very good team this year. I was really impressed at how well coached they are, and how they seemed to be in control all of the time.

Scott did play a lot of people in this game. Coach Carr didn't send 5 JV players in at once, but I'd be willing to say that anywhere from 10 to 12 players saw extensive minutes on the court tonight. Scott was up by 27 points very late in the third quarter as well. Lewis County is a much improved team from last year. Scott has a big test on Tuesday when they play Harrison at Harrison, and a huge game next friday when they take on the defending state champs of Mason County at home.

I would disagree with you on this one. This year Coach Carr has probably his best bench he has had at Scott since he came there. His previous teams he only played maybe 6-7 players on a consistent basis because that is all he had.

:thumb:, This will be one of the strengths of this years team, Never in Carr's tenure has Carr been able to go this deep in his bench, without hurting the eagles. I would Imagine as the year goes on, and he figures out what his rotations will be, that the number will dwindle to 8 or 9, but that is a lot more than he has been able to work with in the past.

:thumb:, thanks for the correction. I was mis-informed. Jake could be a starter by the end of the year, he is very talented.

By March he may be down to 7-8 players that he will rely on, but to think that he does not use the early part of the year to prepare his team is an understatement. As a coach who has been affected by injury, and one who is not afraid to "prove a point" by sitting a player, he has never been afraid of playing deep into his bench. He will get everything he can get from every player that sits on that sideline, or, they won't play period.

Skunk, I watched every game for Coach Carr's first three years, and I know for a fact that he never ever played more than 7 players in those three years at any point of the season on a consistent basis. He just didn't have the talent to play more than 7 until this year.

Another win but now focus on Harrison for Tuesday and a huge weekend coming up for the Eagles. Mason Friday and then Moeller Saturday (brutal) but a great experience and a good chance to see where the Eagles stack up with good talent.

I dont ever remember Coach Carr being able to legitimately put 10 different guys in the game. Like Tiger said its always been about 7 or 8 but never 10. This year Coach Carr could easily give his starters a break for about 45 secs and they would be fine with going 5 deep on the bench.

Seriously? Maybe they should only go in for 30 seconds we wouldn't want them costing the Eagles the game.
