Final. Conner plays Holmes for the Dixie Invitational Championship Sat. night

Conner's center #14 Gela Haynes finished the game with 18 rebounds. Due to lack of height on the team this year, she will need to continue to be a force under the basket for the Lady Cougars.

Conner's #12 Allison Long led all scorers with 20 points. Early foul trouble sent her to the bench for a big part of the first half. She was 11 of 13 from the free throw line.

I think many are going to be surprised with the talent of the younger players for Conner this year. Stay tuned.....this is going to be an exciting year for the 9th region!

I know Conner had a very talented 8th grade team last year. Are they all still with the program? Did any go to Cooper?

I have been told all of them are at Conner, but I don't know that for sure.

I do know the Freshman class at Conner is very talented.
