Looking for info on Ludlow and Ryle...

Featured Replies

I'm broadcasting two games next week involving Ludlow and Ryle, and would appreciate any and all info on these two teams:

12/2 - Tuesday: South Oldham vs. Ludlow

12/3 - Wednesday: Oldham County vs. Ryle

(see the "webcasts" thread for how to listen to Pegasus Sports' webcasts)

THANKS!

Ryle should have a very nice ballclub and will be very tall. Tate Nichols is probably their biggest horse at 6'7. He is also a top prospect on the football field. Ahern is the point guard and a 3 yr starter. McLeish is a good player who plays on a very good AAU team that won the KY state tourney this past summer. (Shining stars?) Coleman is also a very nice player and big. There are a ton of Ryle fans on this site so I am surprised we havent heard from them yet. They might be able to correct my information.

Many thanks, qryche11!!

I was surprised at the lack of response, knowing the number of NKY fans on this site. And since my broadcast is streamed over the internet - and I promote it to all the fans of both teams - I want to be as knowledgeable as possible about Ludlow and Ryle during these games...

THANKS!

Anybody else?

Not as familiar with Ludlow but know about some of the Ryle players. Mitch McLiesh is a solid defender, very nice range on his shot, cuts well but is most effective shooting the three on the wing, handles/dishes the ball well enough to play the one but will likely start in the 2 position, he is real "gamer". (played well with the Shining Stars this Summer) Clay Coleman is a nice outside shooter, handles the ball well for his size, learning to finish at the basket &rebound better. Experienced player with all the tools, played with the Scott Co. boys this Summer at the highest level of AAU. Tate Nichols suffered by having to deal with the ankle injury last season that limited his devolopment on the court (shut it down early in Summer ball too). That and time at football will hold him back early in season although early exit from playoffs will help. He is a real "big-man" player inside shot blocking and stick-backs; needs to work on foul trouble to get more minutes. He has extended his play (shot, not so much ball-handling) look for him to be a real factor as the season progresses. Overall, Ryle could be a sleeper in the region with real height, good shooting, and decent depth........defense will be the key as to how far they will go.

Russell could be a big big factor this year for Ryle...he did not play last year, but he could be very hard to deal with on the inside for Ryle's opponents, very active.

Ludlow has a good slasher and scorer in Williamson and a solid shooting big man in Shelton. They have a great shooter, forget his name, but Ludlow has to keep their head into the season and it should be a pretty good one. Ryle got a huge addition with Russell returning to the program as well.
