Iknow there is three games at Russell tonight. I think Ashland plays in the first one (Maybe against Lewis) at 5:30.

 

Not sure about the other two games. but I think Russell plays in the last game.

5:30 Ashland (home) vs Lewis County(visitors)

 

7:00 Morgan County (home) vs Johnson Central (visitors)

 

8:30 Russell (home) vs Magoffin County(visitors)

Ashland, Johnson Central, and Russell won their games.

Ashland was playing without Strait and won by 29. Gambill will help them and the Connor girl is much improved. Lewis played well for a half. Morgan played solid against a good JC team. Russell won by about 15. They played very well with Simpson and Parsley leading the way. Their guards also shot it very well.

Eagle for Morgan Co. was impressive

Leslie Eagle is without a doubt the best player in the 16th region. She is extremely strong with the basketball and mega-athletic.

 

The Lady Cougars played great with limited experience the on the court. Losing Lara Hembree to an ACL injury a couple of weeks ago hurts them offensively, but Coach Brown does have some solid young talent in Freshman Brittany Stamper and Freshman Faith Slone.
