Really 6'3"? He didn't look over 6'0" when I saw him play this summer on the Shining Stars B team. So he is only an inch shorter than Scott's Chad Jackson? He must have grown a lot since summer.

 

In doomer's defense most high school kids are said to be taller than they really are. You could add a the total height of about any team's starting 5 and take off 8 to 10 inches to get an accurate total height.

 

Sounds like it was a very good scrimmage. Obviously getting Hicks and the other post player back with give Franklin Co. a huge boost. Does Trinity have any football players who play basketball?

Padgee, I'll back up that 6'3" for Vance Hall. It's straight up legit, you can come to Frankfort and we'll measure him up. He was fouled every time he shot free throws. No one from Trinity could stop him!!!!!!

Franklin County also seemed to get tired towards the end of the game which led to them missing shots they would usually hit in the 4th quarter. Trinity got a lot better sub rotation which kept them fresh. Once FC gets their whole team there they will have better subs and be fresh late in the game. 4 of 5 starters probably played at least 28 minutes each. I would think both FC and Trinity would be no brainer top 20 teams preseason.

Based on what I have seen I am not sold on Trinity. I believe there are 5 teams in the 7th region better than they are, which isn't bad considering how good the region is.

I really liked Trinity's guards. The point guard handled extremely well and could shoot the three. They had another guard that was also lights out from three.

 

With regard to any preseason rankings, they really don't mean alot. Teams have to perform on the court. Franklin County should be pretty good but will have to prove it on the court in order to earn a top 20 ranking.

 

For FC it looks like Vance Hall is the one that has really stepped up his game. I predict he will have a break out season.
