November 23, 200817 yr I was along that sideline after the Syracuse loss, but I'm back on the 'give him 4 years' boat because I recently heard that in the last game there were 8 walk-ons that got significant playing time. I really hope that Kragthorpe has some good recruitment plans, because UofL desperately needs some more talent and depth, especially at defense and WR. Not to mention the kicking positions. It'd be nice to have a placekicker who could put the ball in the endzone (a lot of HS kickers can do THAT) and one that is reasonably capable of kicking FG's. I'm not there on the 4 years thing. Not at all. How many talented players have left the program since Kragthorpe came to town? I know, I know, a lot got into serious (read criminal) trouble off the field, but I think much of that was due to a failure to lay down the law with these 19 and 20 year old kids. That kind of stuff didn't happen when Petrino was there and I refuse to believe it was because he was able to keep all the bad behavior under wraps. In the span of 2 years, this program has lost every bit of the swagger it once had. In many of the games this season, the team didn't seem to show up or completely imploded partway through (Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Kentucky). The game/clock management has been atrocious, as have the stupid penalties and mental errors. I don't see those things changing in 2 more years time. Kragthorpe appears to be in way over his head.
