Didn't P'burg beat Breathitt earlier in the year? If so based on how Breathitt played Harlan County, and Harlan County played M'boro.......well you know the rest...

 

I'd love to believe that P-burg ought to win by 30+, but the trouble with that logic is...it just ain't that simple.

 

Much of what determines the winner of a single game is how the competing teams match up. For whatever reason, Prestonsburg's matches up well against Breathitt Co. most years, hence P-burg's success over the Bobcats. Perhaps Middlesboro's aggressiveness on defense was taken advantage of by Harlan Co's "run it down your throat" patient attack - yielding big plays when the Bear RB broke through the LOS. But against Breathitt Co.'s 6-0 (or 4-4...not sure) front, the opportunities for big plays never came. See what I'm getting at ?

 

The point is... once you put together a 2-3 game link in indirectly comparing teams, matchup advantages/disadvantages are no longer accounted for.

I'd like to know the % of teams that think they get a fair called game when they play AT Bell Co.

Dudley and crew have been known to get their fair share of timely calls or no calls on Log Mt.

 

That game brings back some good memories personally oneijoe , but I'm sorry that SE is still hung up on the loss over ONE call.

You can take my word for it, Chicoman and his sister (who loves football as much as him) have watched football on Log Mountain...many times.

 

I can't help but to think about the game Bell County played at Prestonsburg a few years ago and how bad the calls went against Bell County , I just hope the officiating is fair.

 

How we do Friday night depends on which defense shows up for M'boro if they play like they did In Harlan County than it will be a long night and a even longer drive back to Bell County but if they play solid defense that I know they can than we have a chance to make the trip to Corbin next week and play for a Regional Championship.

Prestonsburg wins because it is at P-burg and the Blackcats are better 27-19.

I agree with oneijoe. Yeah, Prestonsburg did beat Breathitt and Breathitt beat Harlan Co. and Harlan Co. beat M'boro but P'burg only beat Shelby Valley on a last second prayer while Mboro dominated the game with Shelby Valley winning 35-0.

Another nice mountain match up. I look for Roark and the Jackets to set up the rematch with Corbin.

Neither Middlesboro or Shelby Valley can play with Breathitt on any given day. Any team can be off on a given night, I guess we'll see
