Final.

Tigers played well tonight. Field stayed dry and Bardstown was very athletic. Good blocking and tackling. Tigers got an excellent game running the ball from D.J. Keene playing for Ricky Harper, and Bardstown exploited one-on-one coverage against Shaun Hickman. Nice tune-up for next week in Tomkinsville.

Congrats on the W.

Good win B-town...:thumb:

Who? Jordan did have a huge game, though.

The Tigers held Metcalfe to 78 passing yards and 48 rushing, and limited Daniel Deleon to 44 yards on 23 carries. The Tiger offense did rain down points in the absence of the expected inclement weather, but the Bardstown defense was just as big. It was still a 7-0 game until the 4:45 mark of the first half, when Keene got his TD run to put some distance between the Tigers and Hornets.

I've been calling Jordan Shaun (Shaun was a Tiger receiver at the turn of the decade) all season.

Good 1st round win Bartdstown

Nice win for Bardstown. Next week's game should be a good one.

I've been calling Jordan Shaun (Shaun was a Tiger receiver at the turn of the decade) all season.

It happens, for sure. I'm walking proof.

"Shaun" Hickman had four catches for 114 yards, and two scores. Jordan also had a sweet INT to go with his 28.5 YPC average.

DJ Keene had nine carries for 109 and a TD. He and QB TJ Downs were also huge on special teams with several punt returns inside the Metcalfe 25.

Downs had been platooning all season, but went solo on this night until being pulled in the 4th Q when the running clock started. He was 9-12 for 190 yards and three TDs and zero INTs, which had been a problem at times. He also, I think, showed some maturity in taking a few sacks rather than making a bad throw, which has led to a few costly picks this year.
