No, you've been drinking the kool-aid if you really believe there will be zero troops in Iraq in 16 months. It just isn't going to happen. I mean, you do realize that not everything a presidental candidate says happens right?

This should and will be one of the first things Obama takes care of. If not 16 months, very close, give or take a few months.

Yes, I realize that...but what you don't understand is that the majority of people isn't even in favor of this war which is over nothing.

The troops will be pulled more sooner than later... I don't know what people is arguing over, wouldn't it be a good thing if he pulled the troops as soon as he could? Oh wait, then that would mean Obama done something good and Obama haters can't have that now can they.

I think we will still have a troop presence in Iraq for quite a while. I don't disagree that the numbers will be greatly reduced, but putting a concrete timeline on it is just irresponsible IMO.

Good to know we have a Saddam Hussein fan on here...

I think it would be terrible if he pulled the troops too soon. That would render everything they've accomplished over the past how many years completely meaningless. I can tell you'll never admit it, but good things have been accomplished in Iraq, and to try to put a timeline on complete troop evacuation would be a terrible decision.

The guy that said these things lost the election, remember?

Ok this comment isn't directed towards you but in general...How in the world do people think we've accomplished stuff in Iraq is beyond me. We are giving Iraq a ton, and I mean a ton of money when Americans need it. If Iraq wants to rebel against Hussein then let them do it. We do not need to get involved and we had absolutely no reason whatsoever to be over there. Bush didn't pull the troops because it would have made him look stupid, but in the meantime we are losing lives over there for nothing.

That doesn't mean he wasn't right.

Hussein was an evil dictator who was a threat to the world. If you don't believe that, then there is no point even trying. You think Iraq was better off with Hussein in power?

As far as your comment about Americans needing that money....What are you referring to? More government handouts? Sorry, I would rather our government spend money on our military and our citizens working and earning their money rather than getting government handouts.

I don't want a handout from the government..I'd rather the billions we gave Iraq be used to try and get America out of this almost impossible debt it was succumbed too.

I never said Hussein wasn't evil, but wasn't he already dethroned? If so then why are American troops still over there?

And you never did answer my questions on what the US has accomplished by being over there.

Because if they would've just left right away someone from his organization would have just stepped right in and taken over. They're now a democracy, who finally has some form of a stabling government. How is that not progress or a good thing?

Before Hussein was captured and Killed...Who do you believe was more of a threat to the world...Hussein or Osama bin laden?
