Bethlehem's defense was big in the first half, getting some sacks and forcing a few turnovers and helping build a 21-6 lead. They got just enough running in the second half to hold off Beth Haven's quick-strike offense.

 

The win assures Bethlehem of the No. 3 spot in the playoffs, and a likely trip to Mayfield, the way I understand it. Had Beth Haven won, it would've created a three-way tie for third place, and Bethlehem would likely have been the odd man out.

That will be a really long trip.

Mayfield won tonight so it will set up a 1st round game and 1st ever meeting between Bethlehem and Mayfield at Mayfield. Good luck to Bethlehem the last two weeks and we look forward to seeing you down here November 14th.

Luke Wimpsett had two touchdowns, as did Cam Wilson. Both have struggled with injuries this year, and both played well now that they're healthy, Wilson ran for some tough fourth-quarter yards to help chew up the clock after Beth Haven's QB got hot.

 

Beth Haven QB Justin Stone passed for four TDs (three in the 4th quarter), but was also sacked about a half-dozen times, at least.
