The folks who put on the Marshall County HoopFest also will be starting a new event - the Laurel County HoopFest - Jan. 22-24 at South Laurel.

 

It will feature 16 games with teams from 10 states.

 

The in-state teams will include Holmes and Boone County. Ticket information at hoopfest.wazoosports.com

Pretty solid field, I agree.

 

I know you're a big Holmes fan, so with that, I think Holmes will have a very tough opponent. Largo is a pretty good team, historically (last several years).

Actually I think the other thread was about the Marshall Co. Hoopfest that will be played in December. (I could be wrong though.. wouldn't be the first time.)

 

As far as the game, Largo lost 12 seniors from last year's state title team. They do however return three D1 prospects in 6'7 PF Deandre Crusoe, 6'5 SF Malik Thomas, and 6'4 SF Aaron Martin.

 

They will be a tough opponent but they will be down compared to past teams.

The teams should be fine since they are Nevada and Texas teams, which would be a 9:00pm and 10:00pm start for them. Late start for the fans!!:sleep:

What fans? Seems to me that the gym will be empty for that game.
