Johnson Central 55 Hazard 17

Final score from Eagle Field. Golden Eagles move out to 7-0. Big games coming up against Montgomery, at Ashland, and against Belfry.

Tough loss for Hazard. Congrats to JC.

I guess this is a good example of how much 5A vs. 1A means. These teams were ranked about the same in their respective classes. I wonder if playing games like this are good for the smaller schools. Do they benefit from it or do they just walk away saying "Wow...they were good"?

Congratulations to the Golden Eagles and all their fans on another convincing win. :thumb:

(See you on Elm Street Halloween night.)

Congrats to the Eagles on another impressive performance. The next two games are district contests before culminating the regular season in a Mountain Match-up with Belfry.

I don’t believe Montgomery Co will be favored in this coming game, but I do remember how MC jumped up and dispatched a favored Woodford Co in the playoffs last year. JC beat MC twice in 2007: 28 – 7 regular season & 32 – 14 playoffs.

It was another strong performance by Chase Richardson dictated by the JC line. This line of JC is probably the best I have seen in the Matney area. Also a good performance by the JC defense to hold a very talented Hazard offense to 3 points in the first half. Stay focused a get ready for another quality district opponent in Montgomery Co.
