That's bull. It should be Bama...Next week Bama takes over.

Not putting down Bama but Texas beat #1 while Bama was on a bye after only beating a team at home by 3 that couldnt beat South Carolina on their home field. I just confused myself. Bama will have plenty of games that will let them prove they are the best.

They went on the road and beat a top 5 (I don't care where the polls have them) Georgia team in convincing fashion. It's not a big deal, because Missouri is going to beat Texas this week, so Bama will take their rightful spot next week.

IMO Penn State has the best chance to run the table in the little 10 (or 11 or 12 or ever how many teams they have now).

I'm almost to the point that I want tO$U to beat Penn State, just so it eliminates the Big Ten from the title game. Although watching them get embarassed every year is pretty fun.

Like I said a couple of weeks ago in another thread, Penn State is not getting enough credit. Penn State should be #1, followed by Texas at #2.

How can you say that? Texas and Bama have both beaten far superior teams than Penn State.

How can I say that? Penn State is the best team in the nation right now, hands down. Texas has beat one good team. Alabama has beat one good team. Penn State has blown everybody out, and they haven't been playing cupcakes.

Have you even looked at their schedule?

Coastal Carolina- (3-4)

Oregon State- (3-3)

Syracuse- (1-5)

Temple- (2-5)

Illinois- (3-3)

Purdue- (2-4)

Wisconsin- (3-3)

Sure looks like a weak schedule to me....Stop being a Big Ten homer, and look at it objectively. Penn State hasn't played a good team yet. Bama has beaten Georgia, Texas has beaten Oklahoma. No one Penn State has played is even close to the caliber of those teams.

I am not a Big Ten homer. The Big Ten is probably the 3rd or 4th best conference. Oregon State is a real good team that has struggled. Illinois, Purdue, and Wisconsin are all above average teams and aren't weak ones by any means.

Alabama may have beaten Georgia but they had problems with Tulane and Kentucky.

Lets take a look at Texas' schedule before the Oklahoma game;

FLORIDA ATLANTIC (W, 52-10)

UTEP (W, 42-13)

RICE (W, 52-10)

ARKANSAS (W, 52-10)

COLORADO (W, 38-14)

Man, that looks like a tough schedule, they for sure should have been ranked in the top 10 after that brutal schedule.

How can you say Purdue, Oregon State, and Wisconsin are good teams?

Kentucky is better than any team Penn State has played thus far. I'll put Colorado in the same boat as well.

Been reading and must say how impressed I am with everyone's imput/research. I wish I had the patience. I thought Penn State had played better people. Cats win yesterday and it helps Bama. I think you have to win your way to #1, not just not play and get there. Like someone said we win saturday and I go back to my Crimson outfit.

If that's what you think that's fine. But just remember one thing, Penn State is better than Alabama and Texas.

I'm done.
