BCG is really hitting the recruiting trail hard in KY and trying to keep all the in state talent here by having Jenkins, R. Johnson, Jackson, Guyn, and Sewell in attendance.

I don't know if any of those guys have a scolarship offer, but all those guys have great potential. Its good to build those relationships. I could see a couple of them potentially playing at UK aft high school.

UK is VERY high on Johnson's list and in his top 3, so it's definetly good BCG is building that relationship now.

Too many just above average high school ball players on the list. Most are good ball players but couldn't compete on the national level in college. Just think of how many of those boys on the floor at madness last night will see limited action or no action at all.

Several players such as Guyn, Jackson, and R. Johnson have proved on the national stage in AAU games that they can get it done against the best in the country so to make a statement like that just shows a lack of knowledge and underestimation regarding several of those playes.

And some already have national level offers. True, some of the UK players will see limited action, but ALL scholarship players will wear the Kentucky Blues and get a $100,000 education for free.

I believe you are off base with this list. These guys can play. All will play D-1 somewhere I believe.

:lol: No because that would be 5 guards and wings. I believe Jenkins and Sewell can play somewhere like WKU, Dayton, Miami(Ohio), etc. I believe Jackson, Johnson, and Guyn can play big time. My understanding is that Jackson already has offers from Xavier and WVU. Those are big time programs. These guys still have 2 more years of high school to go. It will be fun to see when they prove you wrong.:thumb:

Jenkins just picked up another offer in the ACC. He'll be fine. One thing for sure, talent in KY is on the upswing. It's going to be an exciting season in every region in Kentucky.

I never said all of these guys can play for UK, but all of them except for Jenkins are juniors. They still should develop into much better players.

I would have to disagree with you on this point... at least on the kids I have some knowledge about.

 

Both Jackson and Guyn remind me a lot of Rondo. Guyn is about the same size, and Jackson is taller. Both have insane hops and would would arrive at UK with a much more solid outside shot than Rondo had. I know this will stir some Mason County faithful, but IMO both are more athletic than Chris Lofton at the same age, although I will concede that Lofton may have had the slight edge in touch from the land of threedom. :lol:

 

Euton may not have the flash anad dazzle of the guards, but he gets the job done night in and night out. Every made shot is a pretty shot IMO... :lol: His range is pretty much anywhere within whatever county the game is taking place. Add to this the fact that Euton is as blue collar and hard working as any kid you'll see in the gym, his upside is still developing.

 

Sewell is still raw. I mean this in a good way. He's a beast athletically, with a ton of room for developing and fine tuning his game. Josh will play D-1 ball somewhere.

 

All four still have two more years of high school. I like all their chances. Could all of them play at UK? Who knows, but it would sure be a hoot watching some lifelong Kentucky boys whup up on the SEC. :thumb:

Probably not but to say they couldn't play at UK might be somewhat underestimating them as most are still juniors and developing outside of Jenkins who is plenty good enough to compete in the SEC.

 

Johnson, Jackson, and Guyn are all still Juniors and will get better over the next two years.

 

At this point R. Johnson of Holmes has Xavier, Indiana, UC, UK, Georgetown (Hoyas), Miami (OH), and both Eastern/Western recruiting him hard and has even had Georgetown (Hoyas) at several of the open Holmes open gyms watching him.

 

Jackson has already received offers from Xavier and WVU and I'm sure will receive more offers over the next two years.

 

And Guyn has Xavier and a handful of ACC schools recruiting him.

 

I'd say all four of those are good enough to play at UK.
