Question about Eligibility

Featured Replies

I heard about a KID whose eligability might be in Question, so I thought I would raise the Question here. A kid started at a school this year went for about a week or 2 and transferred to another school for about 2 weeks then transfered back to the orginal school, would this effect his eligability for playing this upcoming season considering he is a senior? No move was involved, and with the KHSAA taking so much flack over the Lawrence County deal lets hear this!!

Doesn't anyone want to comment on this? I figured some of you guys would have a lot to say about this! Surely SOMEONE has to be willing to give a opinion on this!

First question: has he ever played in any varsity competition in any sport? If no, we don't need to discuss since he would not fall under the transfer rule requirements.

If he has played in a varsity competition, my GUESS is that he's eligible at his original and current school.

I agree it hinges on whether he has participated in varsity competition....if he has I'm not sure returning to his original school eliminates the sit out penalty. If hasn't played varsity in any sport he should be eligible.

Contact KHSAA, as they will clarify.
