Tigers led this game by two TD's with about 8 to play and Warren East came from behind to win. Went for 2 in the closing moments and got it. Bardstown got a huge game from J.P. Willett with 2 Td's in early going to take a solid lead, and also got 2 INT's and a TD from Jordan Hickman, but in the 2nd half, WE switched Shenard Holton to tailback and he gave the Tiger defense fits.

It doesn't get any easier for Bardstown, who hosts John Hardin this week.

Tough loss for the Tigers, Hearsay, but, games like this will only help you down the road. Good luck against JH next week...That'll definately be a tough one, but, one that'll also only make you better... I highly doubt you'll find too many 2a teams as tough as the ones you're playing outside your class...Gotta love teams that take on these type challenges...

Only one turnover for the Tigers last night, and that came on a desperation INT heave in the closing seconds. Also, only 30 penalty yards assessed against them. If they don't make a ton of mistakes last week, they beat Woodford. If they can keep these mistakes cleaned up, and get efficient play from both QBs (9-17, 188 yards, 4TDs last night) consistently, they're a lot closer to Danville than I thought. I'd bet John Hardin gets all they want next week.

The BG paper reported that WE was without some key players, including QB Alvey.

East was without their starting QB, WR, LT, FS, and SLB, and lost their RG late in the game...that aside, it was a great game between two teams that played their butts off...the East/Bardstown games of the past two years were some great games.

Bardstown looked miles ahead of their game with Nelson Co., and they seemed to like dry weather a wee bit more than the slop.

Hearsay, will I see you at the game Friday night?

Nelson @ North or JH @ Bardstown????
