Newport / Pendleton County

Let get it going. Any thoughts on this one? The battle of the rights to be a WIldcat.

I'll take Newport in this one, they have plenty of talent. Stay focused and avoid the penalties.

Does PC have a field or do they use the middle schools field?

Pendleton's field is at the middle school

Ill take Pendleton in this one they have good skilled players and if there line steps up this week they could put how ever much points on the board against Newport as they want.

PC did a greta job last season with the low numbers they had. From what I've heard their numbers are up this year. IMO - if Newport can make a few changes in the personel I believe they can make something happen.

Hopefully, Newport will bounce back from their loss to Bellevue. According to KyPost.com, Bellevue only passed for 4 yards while running for almost 300 against Newport. This is not supposed to happen! If Pendleton decides to run the ball, and I'm sure they will after seeing the Newport-Bellevue game, Newport needs to get some more guys up in the box. Newport needs to cut out the turnovers and maybe do a little extra running to get in shape. Come on Newport, have some pride and bring us a win!

Maybe Newport should go to the 5-3 defense. The 5-3 puts more in the box and you can also use a line backer as a monster man and float to the strong side. As far as more running in their practices - that is something that they should have already been doing and in their defense I'm confident that they do.

Who are the skilled player weight and hight? How are they up front?

What kind of changes do you think they need to make? Personnel, offensive play calling.

Pendleton has a good QB,WR,RB,LB thats there skilled players.

And as far as up front goes they need just little work but if they work hard this week could be a long game for Newport

I like Newport in this one bouncing back. I expect Collins to be more protective with the ball and Short to get his yards. Turnovers will kill any team doesnt matter if its the number 1 team in the state so whoever has the least will win this game.

PC 18 Newport 7. I think these programs are heading in opposite directions and the one improving will win.
