Bath County 24 West Carter 14

First off, Metz was a beast for Bath. I left thinkin West could have and maybe should have won this game. But, it was the first game of the season, and with a lot of inexperience, i don't guess they played that bad. The line for the Comets has to mature quickly to give Puckett time to pass, and let the young backs have some holes. Burton was a little hurt and normally would have had more carries. Mackenzie McGlone may need to get a few touches, he ran hard on kickoff returns. Also, I couldn't figure out why West would take out Andrew Owens on alot of the passing plays. He may not be the fastest reciever on the team, but he is very sure handed and has good chemistry with Ace. Our defense started out slow, but improved as the game went on. Overall West has alot to work on, but could end up with a pretty good season.
